1. Typical weight loss is 2-5 lbs. per week for the first two weeks, then 1-2 lbs. per week thereafter. Average weight loss for Livea Weight Control Centers clients is 25 pounds. Results vary. In a 68- and 72-week clinical trial studying Wegovy (2.4 mg), brand-name Semaglutide, and Zepbound (15 mg), brand-name Tirzepatide, in patients without diabetes and with BMI ≥30, or BMI ≥27 with a weight-related condition, the average weight loss was 15% and 20% respectively, when paired with diet and exercise changes (compared to 2.4% and 3.1%, respectively, with diet and exercise alone). Semaglutide results as reported in the STEP-3 Phase study and Tirzepatide results in the SURMONT-1 study respectively. The amount of weight you may lose depends on factors like your starting weight, diet, exercise, genetics, and how your body responds to the medication. These drugs are tools to be used along with lifestyle changes for maximum effectiveness. You should not discontinue or adjust your prescribed dosage without first consulting your doctor.
